The Amish Widow's Christmas Hope by Carrie Lighte

True love always finds a way…

Can their temporary house

become a permanent home?
After inheriting her uncle’s house, single mother Fern Glick returns to Serenity Ridge with the intention to sell and leave town quickly. But her reluctance to settle so close to former love Walker Huyard—the man who broke her heart—begins to falter as their children forge a bond. With Christmas approaching, spending the holiday together might just be enough to reignite the love they once shared.

About The Author

Like the Amish characters she writes about, Carrie Lighte is very camera shy. She also enjoys making bread (by hand), tends to shun technology, and is blessed with a "wunderbaar" family and a strong faith in God. In addition to writing, reading and researching, Carrie enjoys hiking, kayaking and spending time at the beach.

My Review

This story will tug at your heart, when doing "the right thing", breaks so many hearts. As you begin this read, you can see that forgiveness is really needed here, not only for others, but for yourself.
Ah, the children, yes, they will make you smile, and the parents have done a great job raising them so far, and where the adults hold back they have open arms.
I found myself looking at both sides of this story, and it is not a win win situation, but more a survival, and thinking of an unborn child.
You will be quickly turning pages here for answers, and will Fern stay in Maine? She now owns a home, her children love it, but too much heartache, can she even be in the same room with Walker?
I really enjoyed this read, all the while hoping for the best, can hearts heal and forgive?

I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Love Inspired, and was not required to give a positive review.
