Coyote's Revenge by Vannetta Chapman

Sometimes We Must Face Our Past,
While Our Future Hangs in the Balance

Aiden Lewis is the perfect undercover agent—a millionaire playboy who has committed his life to protecting his country. For Aiden, work comes first and allows him to make amends for his past.

Then Madison Hart is caught in the terrorist web of an insurgent named Coyote. Unaware that her life is in danger, she finds herself falling for the elusive Aiden Lewis. But Aiden disappears for days at a time, and he has a past that haunts him. Is their relationship doomed from the beginning? Can they learn to trust each another?

Coyote is the mastermind behind operation Dambusters, which is compromised because of Aiden. Coyote knows the way to hurt Aiden is to target Madison. As Coyote makes his move for revenge, both Aiden and Madison must face their past while their future hangs precariously in the balance.

This gripping romantic thriller combines a terrifyingly realistic plot with believable characters and fascinating details about military ops, terrorists, and the vulnerability of our infrastructure. A story that will leave you wondering how much of our past defines who we are, and how we can move beyond it to embrace our future.

My Review

I felt like I was reading a newspaper or watching the news on TV, and also like I was a participant, whether your flying in an airplane, or climbing mountains, or literally fighting for your life, there is never a dull moment in this compelling read.
From the beginning to the end we wonder if evil is going to prevail, just like it did in NYC on 9/11, and add to the story a touch of romance, and you will be just like me and not be able to put the book down.
The author has us wondering as we walk in the shoes of the young teacher, she is attracted to Aiden, but all of a sudden, he is gone, and who knows where, I would be questioning his where about too. One would never imagine what he was doing, and what was going on, at least I wouldn’t, but we hope that there are people out there like him
A read you don’t want to miss, and sorry you won’t be able to leave it until the last page is turned.

I received this book from the author, and was not required to give a positive review.
