My Review:
I had my boys attention as I read this book to them. They are ages 6 and 8, and really looking forward to Christmas.
They asked questions as we read along, and looked at the brightly colored illustrations. They started talking about the endless list of things they are asking for this year. When Robert was in line with the girl in front of him, they were not interested in what she wanted. Typical for them!
They started to get the real meaning of the story and the Christmas season when Glenn with the holey sneakers was in line behind Robert. Wow, his brother was sick, and may not live??
They were impressed with what Robert did, and gave a great deal of thought to what they would have done. They even wanted to give Glenn some of their money from their piggy bank.
This book has a great story and a very timely message. Now they are looking at what they can do for others this coming holiday.
I received this book through Pump Your Book Virtual Book Tours, and was not required to give a positive review.
