Though spunky Savannah Ensworth was born into wealth and privilege, she longs for the freedom allotted to men. Marriage is the very last thing on her to-do list. As the sole heir to her father’s fortune, she’s in no hurry to turn the freedom that comes with wealth over to a husband.
Bored and restless, she arrives for yet another mind-numbing winter season at the Jekyll Island Millionaire’s Club. There is nothing new under the sun…or so she thinks until she meets Joseph Bennett, the visiting reverend.
As sparks fly, a forbidden attraction grows. But will their very different lives snuff out any hope of a future? And is she ready to give up the freedom she’s always desired for a love that could cost her everything?

My Review
This quickly became a page turner for me, and even before I started I was drawn in by the beautiful cover!
This is Savannah Ensworth's story, a young woman born to privilege and actually rather bored by it all, and has come to the conclusion she just isn't interested in marriage, there isn't anyone who really appeals to her!
The setting is beautiful Jekyll Island and opulence is everywhere, and society rules apply!
There is also a new visiting preacher, Joseph Bennett, whom hasn't met a woman that turned his head yet, and plans to keep it that way. He thinks these rich people could do so much more to help the less fortunate, and does preach that way.
Can you imagine when these two stubborn people meet each other! Well, it happens in church, and from there these opposites attract, but there is no way society would accept this match!
I loved how secrets fell, and people change, and drastically at that, and all of this makes for a read, that I didn't want the story to end.
Be sure to read the author's notes at the end, great information about Jekyll Island, and then there is a preview of the next read in this series!
I received this book from the Author, and was not required to give a positive review.
