  21. A few years ago, I read a true account ghost story that I found. I cannot remember the name of it, and I have the book, but it is in a box in storage. It was set in New York State, and it was a nurse and her family. Throughout that read, I was constantly looking over my shoulder and hearing things, lol, and I usually don't do that. I am sorry I don't remember the name of it!

  31. One of the most terrifying stories I have EVER read is 172 Hours on the Moon by Johan Harstad. It played on my fears of what is out there in outer space (in this book more specifically - on the moon), and it kept me up all night after I read it silently freaking out about it. It was an excellent read!!

  51. I read this book in middle school, The Night I Disappeared, which I can't give much of a description because it spoils the story. It's more of a psychologically scary story, made me think about how the world as I know it could be a product of just my imagination, how I wouldn't be able to tell it wasn't real. Freaky.
