Dana R. Lynn grew up in a suburb of Chicago, Illinois. She was blessed to belong to a large, boisterous and loving family. Even as a child, she was in love with the written word. Trips to the local bookstore and library were frequent and long, and she never left empty handed.
As an adult, she fell in love with Deaf culture and became first a teacher, and later an educational interpreter for the Deaf and hard of hearing.  She might have stayed in Illinois, but God stepped in.
She met her husband at a friend’s wedding in Pennsylvania. And knew. Returning home, she informed her parents that she had met the man she would marry. And she did. Now she makes her home in Pennsylvania with her husband, her children, and enough animals for a small petting zoo.
But what about her writing? God’s timing is perfect. In February, 2014, she decided to enter Love Inspired Suspense’s new pitch contest, The Search for a Killer Voice.  Using her Grandmother’s maiden name, she created LaMar Pond, a fictional town set in rural northwestern Pennsylvania. In addition to her Love Inspired Suspense books, Dana has a short novella, An Inconvenient Courtship, through  Astraea Press, now Clean Reads. It debuted in October, 2014, and made its way to number one in the category of new Christian historical romances. Her second novella, The Colonel’s Timely Bride, was released in November, 2015.
It has been an exciting beginning to her writing journey. She is excited to see what God has in store next.

My Review

Plain Retribution will have your riveted and page turning as fast as you can, with non-stop action, this book will have you ducking as shots seem to come out of no where.
Rebecca was a young Amish girl when she was kidnapped and tortured along with some other girls, while one died the man was brought to justice and as far as she knew he was in jail.
All of a sudden she is being attacked, but why, had the evil one escaped from jail? Why are things happening all over again? Will Rebecca ever be safe, and what of the others? Can Detective Miles help her, even with their growing affection, will one or both of them end up dead.
This book has a bit of everything, our Rebecca being deaf, and Miles having grown up with deaf relatives really has her life on the line, but why?
If you enjoy a fast pace, non-stop action book, this one is for you, you will never see coming what is about to happen!

My Review

Freedom’s Ring became a quick page-turner for me, and I hated when I had to put it down. The book is full of historical facts, and we put faces to many of those involved, yes fictional, but based on so much fact.
Current day is a woman Annie David that was injured in the Boston Marathon bombing, she has recovered, but her fears remain strong, and then the rescuer comes back in her life.
The 1770’s story connects around in the form of an antique ring, and the amazing Patriots, so much courage and heartache. Liberty becomes a survivor and as such she becomes the connection to the present in the form of Bradford Kilroy, our rescuer.
We spend a lot of time in research, and it is a lot like putting together a puzzle, you can’t stop until finished, but are you ever really finished? This book is going to make you think about your own roots, and maybe the hints give here by the author will allow you to do your own research.
I loved how this book turned circle from one hard time to another and back, and putting faces to those who forged ahead in spite of adversity.

My Review

The author gives a glimpse into the life of those that are unseen in London, those that have fallen through the cracks, the street urchins, and the year is 1914, and war is looming.
One of those urchins has grown up to be a professional lock picker, pick pocket, and now a librarian, huh? Yes, she is being paid megabucks, at least for her, to be a librarian for a wealthy recluse, and of German ancestry, and that is why Rosemary is there.
The recluse is Peter Holstein, and he has many secrets, but he sure does seem to be a loyal Englishman, but why is he constantly in a room typing?
Then we have some people, these exist everywhere and at any time, that feed on hate and evil, they are here and causing all kinds of problems.
With her family, and you will be surprised at the use of the name family, depending on her Rosemary takes her job to heart and tries to find out if Peter is loyal to Germany. What she finds is going to surprise everyone, and then there is more to come, things are not as we perceive, and surprises abound.
Loved how we are brought into the time and period of just prior to WWI and watch as known events unfold in their everyday life.
Keep reading there is a lovely epilogue at the end, and enjoy!

My Review

Having just finished another of the books in the Elite Guardians Series, I still have my heart in my throat, yes this is one book in an amazing series, and I have a sense of loss after turning the last page.
This is Haley/Aileen’s story and there is more than one story-taking place at the same time, and there is a point when you think they connect.
What a roller coaster ride you are about to embark on as you turn that first page, and then you will be hooked all the way to the end, and then it will linger with you. We have it all with a story that crosses nations, to local gang violence, and heart warming love of God and showing it to those we encounter.
What sick individual, or group, would want to kill a whole family, including a baby, and will any of the members survive, or are they involved.
We also have a recently transferred Police Detective who is dealing with his own demons; Steven has yet to forgive the man responsible for the death of his brother, and now is home because his Dad is very ill. What do Haley and Steven have to do with each other, that will soon be very clear, and their paths kept intersecting.
Don’t miss this amazing book by Lynette Eason, you won’t regret it!

So enjoyed catching up with Heidi and her cooking classes, and with the start of this book she is about to start her second series of classes.
We meet the new students, and yes I had instant dislike to some of them, but keep reading. We go in-depth into their lives, and find out why they are like they are; will Heidi be able to influence them like she did the previous?
I loved that we are updated on the people we meet in the first book, but Kendra has devastating news for Heidi, so sad, but there are the lives of the others we met and find out how things are going for them.
Will this new group be as affected by Heidi and her sweet ministering, or will the first impressions be what happens?
We finish with some yummy recipes, and they will soon be making it to my table, especially the chicken crumb basket!
I loved some of the compassion some of these people showed to their fellow students, and the main lesson here is Forgiveness, so very hard to do, and how Heidi is able to lead them.
Another page turning read that you won’t be able to put down once that first page is turned.
