Naomi is an award-winning author who
crafts her stories from the pristine north woods of Wisconsin, where she
and her husband Jeff live as epically as God allows near the families
of their five adult children. She enjoys roaming around on the farm,
snacking out of the garden, relaxing in her vintage camper, and loving
on her passel of grandchildren. Naomi is a member of the American
Christian Fiction Writers; Faith, Hope, and Love; and the Lake Superior
Writers. Though she has written in a variety of venues, her great love
is historical fiction. Her novel, Mist O’er the Voyageur, was a 2019
Selah Awards finalist and two-time Book of the Year nominee, and the
sequel Song for the Hunter is available for pre-order. She is the author
of several other series, collections, and stand-alone novels. Watch for
three new releases in 2022! Naomi would love to connect with you around
the web.

An award-winning novelist, Pegg Thomas
lives on a hobby farm in Northern Lower Michigan with Michael, her
husband of *mumble* years. They have an assortment of animals on the
place including a flock of sheep, a flock of laying hens, several barn
cats, and Murphy the spoiled rotten dog. They also have a large garden, a
small orchard, and a growing berry patch.
Besides
writing, she enjoys a variety of crafts including spinning her sheep’s
wool into yarn, knitting, counted cross stitch, quilting, and card
making.
She and Michael enjoy camping, fishing,
boat-nerding (you have to be a Great Lakes person to know about that),
and thoroughbred horse racing.
A life-long history
geek, it’s no surprise that historical fiction is her genre. Colonial
America and the Civil War era are favorite time periods to both read and
write. Her favorite type of book centers on a great fiction story
surrounded by factual historical events.
Her agent is Linda S. Glaz of the Hartline Literary Agency.
Pegg
won the 2019 RWA Faith, Hope, & Love Readers Choice Award and was a
finalist for the 2019 ACFW Editor of the Year, a double finalist for
the 2019 ACFW Carol Awards. She was also a finalist for the 2021 RWA
Faith, Hope, & Love Readers Choice Award.
My Review
We are offered four different stories, all revolving around lumber, and all giving us some sweet romance!
We travel from coast to coast with this novellas, and you quickly become involved in the lives of these people.
From
dips in the cold Atlantic off the coast of Maine, then to icy, snowy
Michigan, and getting meals to the loggers, from there we journey to
lumber yards in Wisconsin, with a stop at farm country. Lastly we are in
Idaho, and at a logging camp, one that is loosing money, and yet full
of rich timber!
You will not be able to put these down once you turn your first page! This is a treat!
I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Barbour, and was not required to give a positive review.
