And if being a dog wasn’t bad enough, Spencer also swallowed an important microchip his killers need to hack into PC’s and steal millions. Now the criminals are hot on his trail for the only existing microchip that’s logged in his belly.
Justin and Spencer butt heads constantly; both are stubborn and willful, neither one wanting to give an inch. Spencer needs to find out what the killers are up to, so he swallows his pride and forms a bond with the boy. Spencer relays to Justin his past and together with the help of Justin’s girlfriend, Shahla; they discover the hacker’s plans. Spencer has broken down Justin’s reserve and he finally learns the meaning of unselfish love.
But it’s too late, the hackers have captured them.
Can Spencer maul the shins (and other choice areas) of his kidnappers and stop them from their evil plan?
Can a selfish man find a heart?
You bet.  He just has to become a dog first.

My Review:

Being a dog lover, this book intrigued me and I was not disappointed, almost like a very entertaining movie, and like a movie you won’t be able to put this one down until your finished.
Wait until you meet precocious Justin Andrew, and find out why he is deep trouble at school…walking in with all the condolences bouquets. Then you meet the obnoxious police detective Spencer Watley, and find out what these two have in common.
The book is a great read, aimed at teen readers; I enjoyed it as an adult, reminding me a bit of a Disney Shaggy Dog type movie. There are some hard losses, and murders, and some really great chuckles. Will Spencer redeem himself with the J.R.P. program?
Then we have hoodlums who want to kill a dog, now who would want to do such a thing? Greed is the answer, and while it is serious, it is rather funny as the dog is able to out smart them.
Will Spencer get what he wants or what he deserves, will Justin our young smart friend over come his injuries? You are about to find the answers to these and other questions, with a turn of these pages. I loved it!

My Review:

I loved my visit back in Cedar Creek, and my time spent with old friends. We are up-dated on everyone here, and some of the focus on this book is Emma Graber, as we also prepare for the wedding of her brother James and Abby Lambright. We get to spend time with Amanda and Wyman Brubaker and her nephew Jerome and their blended family.
What a sweet time here becoming fully absorbed in the Amish culture, and even take a sleigh ride, such fun. Not everything is rosy, but love how these folks face adversity, and let their faith and prayer lead them in their decisions.
Emma does have a rough time during this story, and the Community tries to rally around her, she does seem interested in Jerome, but he has already had two broken engagements. What could be the problem, and does she wants to be number three?
We end up snowbound at the Brubaker’s with Emma and her Dad, and then some surprise visitors appear, wonder how they got there? Some excitement is about to happen in Emma’s life, and she appears to have developed some backbone.
Don’t miss this sweet read, and if you haven’t read the other books don’t let that keep you from enjoying this one, it can stand alone, but don’t deny yourself the great pleasure of reading the first book in this series, Amanda Weds A Good Man.

With adept fingers, he unbuckled the ankle strap and lifted her foot from the still-lodged shoe. Having no other choice to avoid either resting her bare foot on the filthy Manhattan sidewalk or the humiliation of falling on her face, she reached back and grabbed his shoulder.

Hmm. No padding there. Nothing but muscle beneath that expensive tropical weight wool suit. She caught a glimpse of charcoal gray fabric, dark hair, and Italian shoes in rich mahogany leather.

But she'd yet to lay eyes on her rescuer's face.

Nathan Maxwell took advantage of the up-close and personal view. Trim ankles met shapely, muscular calves, and judging from the fit of her skirt, a firm derriere topped off those swimsuit-model legs. Beneath his touch, soft skin beckoned further exploration. Long honey-blond hair hung almost to her waist in a sleek ponytail. The fragrance of her haute couture perfume drifted over him, reminding him of magnolia-scented summer nights.

Focusing on the task at hand, he gently pried the heel from the sidewalk seam and examined it. “No harm done.” He grasped her ankle and settled her foot back into the shoe and fastened the strap, but not before noticing the firecracker red nail polish. He laughed. “Here you go Cinderella.”

My Review: 

Your are about to embark on an adventure, no one would want to take, and through no fault of their own, their lives are about to change forever.
This adventure takes place in Amish country, and young couples are having financial problems, typical in any culture. This is the story of Meredith and Luke Stoltzfus, and there struggles and losses, and you find yourself, having to keep reading, how is this going to end. We know what is going on, but Meredith and Luke, of course, only know their portion.
I can’t imagine being pregnant, and knowing my husband is never coming back. Or in Luke’s case, he doesn’t know who he is, or ever were he is or how he got there. What a great idea for a story, and you could feel yourself living each person’s part of his or her life, and hoping and praying for what we want to happen.
Life goes on, and like a snowball rolling down a hill you won’t know which direction their paths are going to take. Of course, this makes the story so interesting and page turning. We do have to wait until the very end to find a conclusion, but that is the way life is too. Pick this one up you will not be disappointed.
