Margaret (Maggie) Cumberland lives to shop; her father died with debts.

Before she can get her inheritance, Maggie finds out the will comes with certain stipulations. She has to get a job.
Not just any job, though. Nope. Dear old dad put in the will that she had to make three deliveries for the family business.

Sounds simple. Should be simple.
It’s anything but simple.

Maggie suddenly finds her pink convertible repossessed, her condo being foreclosed on, and her every minute spent studying for a CDL to pass a test that will allow her to drive an eighteen-wheeler truck across the state. Oh wait, not to mention that someone is apparently out to get something from her father’s trucking company, even if they have to go through her first.

Can Maggie steer clear of danger long enough to make her first delivery deadline or will there be more roadblocks than she can handle?

My Review

The author gives us a story of estranged daughter and father, only it is to late her Dad has passed.
I first decided this was a very selfish girl! She didn't work, but lived high and her father paid the bills. What? You need to keep reading as facts are unfolding, and yes, I did change my opinion.
We are there for the reading of the will, and Maggie isn't comprehending just what this entails, and we are soon driving tractor trailers, big eight wheels.
We are offered, repossession, suspected murder, arson, and then threats on the road.
This is all put together in a fast paced read, that kept me page turning and looking for the answers that do come, even though we are left with a cliff hanger. There will be book two!
Now I will be looking for the conclusion to this suspense laced with some humor read!
I received this book through Great Escapes Virtual Book, and was not required to give a positive review.
