My Review

This book had me riveted to the pages, and kept me turning, feeling all the time the injustice. Then we find out that there are more, how could someone do what we happening, and how can it be stopped?
We find a couple very much in love, with the joy of a child in their mist, and then in the whisper of a second their lives are shattered. Their beloved child is gone, one thinks she is missing and the other she is dead, and thus the unit is shattered to the point of divorce.
What brings these two back together is the same thing that separated them to begin with. Now there seems to be even more danger, and their little one is still “Gone”.
The author had me on an emotional roller coaster from beginning to end, and let me tell you once you start reading; you have to get to the answers. This book will also linger with you, and make you think that maybe this is a true story.

My Review

This book had me page-turning as fast as I could read to get to the end and find the answers, even the title put my mind singing “Because You're Mine”, and you can conjure up what the story is about. Wrong.
Allana appears to have it all as the book opens, her Celtic band is heading to the top, she is married to the man of her dreams, and they are expecting their first baby. Of course, things can’t stay that way, but you never expect the turn of events that are about to happen.
While I figured out early on what was happening, there were still lots of surprises, and all that we picture is not always as they are, and with this book it is so very true.
The estate that Allana ended up at gave me the creeps, while I should have loved the historic old mansion, and when the pets or domestic animals, cats and dogs, end up missing, ugh!
With her father-in-law threatening to take her baby, and her manager offering her a life line, we have to hope that this is the answer, sounds good, but of course, things are not all what we think they are.
I loved her friends, and the mention of the Travelers, and the connection to them, our Irish Gypsies, and as it turns out Allana’s roots.
Once you start this one you are going to need answers.

My Review

We are back in Seven Poplars Amish community, and our Leah has returned home after loosing her husband and infant daughter. How hard it must have been for her to continue on, and we know that her faith is what leads her.
I had the feeling that she was beating herself up, and although she would embrace having more children and a husband, she doesn’t want to fall in love again. Why, because she doesn’t want the pain of loss, or because she feels she is dishonoring her late husband.
Thomas on the other hand has been living Amish, but at almost thirty has failed to make a commitment to the faith. He seems happy go lucky, and as the book opens he is being turned down from his offer of marriage, handsome Thomas, he has failed and his family think it is time to settle down and take a wife.
Thus we find these two at the Amish matchmaker, Sara, and this could be one of her first failures, and a very unlikely match. Watch as these two interact, and meet the rest of their families, I loved being reunited with Susanna and King David; these two make their family so special.
This is a fast read, mainly because you want to find out all the answers, and the only problem I had was turning the last page and still wanting more.

My Review

First I want to say that I loved the historical aspects of this book, we are reminded of the beginnings of Communist Russia, and the end of the Tzar.
In this story we are made aware of the wealth and relationships of White Russian Tzar’s and their families. I had forgotten a lot of this and was happy that the author worked this information into this suspense of this book.
Poppy Denby is a woman who was breaking ground for others, and didn’t even realize it. What an exciting time the 1920’s must have been for her in England, and we are led down a lot of twist and turns, and kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, and who is going to survive. The word pictures in this book kept me page turning, and enjoying every minute, and can’t wait for more from this series.

Keith Korman is a literary agent and novelist. Over the years he has represented many nationally-known writers of fiction and non-fiction at his family’s literary agency, Raines & Raines. My Review

loved the aspect of the animals telling the story; we get to travel through the bible with each generation. A read for adults and children to enjoy, and you will find yourself quickly turning the pages here, and enjoying the animals telling well know parables.
I loved sharing this one with the boys, and they couldn’t seem to get enough, and had me keep reading.
You can’t miss with this one, and will make a welcome addition to your library, especially ones to share with the whole family.
