When twenty-four-year-old Tiffany escapes her sister Kammy's too wild Cancun bachelorette party, she finds herself in a bar with the unwanted attention of a gorgeous local named Luke. Luke may be charming but Tiffany is leaving in two days and doesn't need any complications. But complications are exactly what she gets when the cops show up to raid Kammy's party. When Kammy is arrested, Tiffany agrees to have dinner with Luke, so he'll help her get Kammy out of jail. Kammy's arrest forces her to spend an extra day in Cancun, meaning she'll miss a crucial meeting, and as an accountant in tax season, she is already drowning in work. Not to mention, every second she spends with Luke makes it harder to leave. With Luke, Tiffany is almost ready to forget about work. Will the airport be their final goodbye?

My Review:

I found this ebook to be a very quick interesting read. It is only 42 pages long, but a lot is packed into this story.
We have a young woman, who is forced to spend money she doesn't have to give her sister a bridal shower. Now this is not an ordinary shower, her sister Kammy has her book and take her friends to Cancun!
Tiffany does taxes for for a living and wouldn't you know Kammy picked tax time to have this fiasco.
Trying to escape the noise and out of control party, Tiffany begins her own adventure. Or I should say, she went down to the hotel bar, and hopes for quite so she can work.
There she meets her hero and rescuer Luke. You will have to read this to find out why Luke rescues her. This is really the great part of the book.
If you enjoy sweet romance, this is a great story, and it takes so little time, but stays with you for a long time. Enjoy!

I received this book through I Am A Reader, Not A Writer Book Blog Tour, and was not required to give a positive review.
The lesson of a young woman, who did what they do when they are young and foolish! She acted on impulse and married the wrong man. A man that was her sister's boyfriend.
Now the path she chose was a destructive one, in more ways than one...that is, bad marriage, destroyed hotel room, drug dealers. It was rather funny, although quite serious how she treated that drug dealer, bouncy check, and cubic zerconia.
While she is drowning her sorrows in a bar, she meets quite the Gentleman, who end up rescuing her more than once. He turns our to be the brother-in-law of her Sister...the one she stole the boyfriend from. Loved the coincidence!
The book is a very fast and enjoyable read, and you can do it in one sitting.

Showers of Books Giveaway Hop

Up for Grabs is a new copy of Susan May Warren's new book ....Take A Chance On Me

Darek Christiansen is almost a dream bachelor—oldest son in the large Christiansen clan, heir to their historic Evergreen Lake Resort, and doting father. But he’s also wounded and angry since the tragic death of his wife, Felicity. No woman in Deep Haven dares come near.

New assistant county attorney Ivy Madison simply doesn’t know any better when she bids on Darek at the charity auction. Nor does she know that when she crafted a plea bargain three years ago to keep Jensen Atwood out of jail and in Deep Haven fulfilling community service, she was releasing the man responsible for Felicity’s death. All Ivy knows is that the Christiansens feel like the family she’s always longed for. And once she gets past Darek’s tough exterior, she finds a man she could spend the rest of her life with. Which scares her almost as much as Darek learning of her involvement in his wife’s case.

Caught between new love and old grudges, Darek must decide if he can set aside the past for a future with Ivy—a future more and more at risk as an approaching wildfire threatens to wipe out the Christiansen resort and Deep Haven itself

My Review:
This is the first book in the Christiansen Family Novel series. It was such a good read, and I am thrilled to know there is another book coming!
The Author shows how most of the characters in this story need to find forgiveness. They blame God for their circumstances, and won't take his gift of redemption.
Darek Christiansen is mad at the world, feels he has been handed a rotten deal, and the only good thing in his life is his 5 year old son Tiger. He was a willing player, but now feels life has not been fair to him. Then his wife was killed by his best friend....it was an accident and he knows it, but would rather blame his friend.
Enter Ivy Madison, a sweet young woman, she has taken a job as Assistant DA in Deep Haven, MN. She has had a scarred upbringing, having lived in fourteen foster homes. For someone who had such a horrible start in life, she has a lot of compassion.
The Lord does put people in their lives to help them find what they need...HIM, but will the accept? Or will they go on blaming God for their problems?
I did love being back in Deep Haven, MN, the area sounds so beautiful, and Susan May Warren brings it to life. Be set for a bit of romance, mystery, grief, and some great family love. A wonderful book to get lost in.

My Review:
What a profound, page turning read. It pulls your attention right from the start. Who wouldn't want the chance that was given to Schuyler Hunt. Of course, like him, I would have to be convinced to leave.
Loved the play on names here....Paradise Reality with Agent Michael DeAngelo. We are experiencing answers, and in a most wonderful way. This tale makes you think...Satan is not God's equal...he never was, he was the same as Michael the Archangel...of course!!
Another thought that I picked up on and agree with is Life on Earth is Preschool for Eternity. Well said.
If you don't read another book this year, this one will stay with you for the rest of your life. A total must read for a Christian. Love it!

My Review:

Once I started reading this book, I was gone, and could not put it down. I have read another book by this author, but he has outdone himself with this one. I am ready for more!
Can put myself in Meg Richard's shoes, and can feel how that bitter hate would happen. She receives a call that no woman wants. Her young husband has been killed by a drunk driver! They had been looking at houses and had great plans for their lives, and she had the news to tell him, they were having a baby.
Satan has a firm hold in this story, non-forgiveness, hate. If justice can not be done, she, Meg, will extract it! God has not forsaken her, even if she has him. He places people in her life, even when she at first rejects them, he continues.
The story takes a lot of twist and turns, we have a DA more concerned about his life and political ambitions. We have a young Assistant DA, who is still grieving about loosing her Dad to a drunk drive, and wants revenge through Meg. We have dear friends and a Mother, who love Meg and want to help her, but she has frozen her heart. Then we have a cocky young man, the drunk teen, who killed Meg's husband, Jim Thomas.
Ace has woven a page turning read, and when the story ended...I wanted more.
