Widowed Euodia, known to her neighbors as "the Lydian woman,"
seeks to make a fresh start by moving to the foreign city of Philippi.
She finds new purpose after meeting Paulos, apostle to the Gentiles, who
opens her eyes to helping those in need, particularly women and those
who have been enslaved.
Retired Roman soldier Hector has settled
in Philippi with dreams of a future filled with wealth and status,
pooling his army earnings with Lucius, his fellow comrade-in-arms turned
business partner. His hopes are dashed, however, when Paulos robs their
youngest enslaved girl of her lucrative ability to foretell the future,
rendering her worthless to Hector's ambition.
Determined to find
someone to restore the girl's valuable "gift," Hector is willing to
travel to the ends of the earth to do so. Following close behind him,
Euodia and her servants embark on a journey to rescue Sabina and set her
free forever.

About The Author
Christy-Award winner Angela Hunt writes for readers who have learned to expect the unexpected in novels from this versatile author. With nearly six million copies of her books sold worldwide, she is the best-selling author of more than 160 works ranging from picture books (The Tale of Three Trees) to novels.
Now that her two children are grown, Angie and her husband live in Florida with Very Big Dogs (a direct result of watching Sandlot too many times). This affinity for mastiffs has not been without its rewards--one of their dogs was featured on Live with Regis and Kelly as the second-largest canine in America. Their dog received this dubious honor after an all-expenses-paid trip to Manhattan for the dog and the Hunts, complete with VIP air travel and a stretch limo in which they toured New York City. Afterward, the dog gave out paw-tographs at the airport.
When she's not home writing, Angie often travels to teach writing workshops at schools and writers' conferences. And to talk about her dogs, of course.

My Review
Wow! I loved this read, from beginning to end I was pulled in as the author brought Acts 16 alive.
Yes, Lydia the seller of purple, but we find out where the purple comes from, interesting!
What
a heart Lydia has and how she shares her Love of God with others, she
listens to what he wants her to do, and we see the blessings, and how
peoples lives are changed!
This is a read of Faith, and we put faces and names to these people as this read comes alive, and the pages flew!
I received this book through the Publisher Bethany House, and was not required to give a positive review.
