Litfuse Blog Tour: Mornings WIth Jesus 2012 Review & Giveaway
The 2012 edition of Mornings with Jesus features devotionals by Tricia Goyer, Judy K Baer, Gwen Ford Faulkenberry, Sharon HInck, Keri Wyatt Kent, Camy Tang, and Erin Keeley Marshall.
Order your own copy here (you may see a different cover, but ignore that - it's the same book!) and start each morning with daily encouragement for your soul.
About the book:
“Be still and know that I am God.” is one of the most beautiful verses from the Bible, but it’s not easy to practice in this busy world. Mornings with Jesus will help you do just that—“be still” in Jesus’ beautiful and powerful presence. For those who are seeking a deeper experience in their relationship with Christ, Mornings with Jesus offers a fresh perspective of who Jesus is (the Healer, the Son of God, the Comforter, the Good Shepherd) and what that means for day-to-day life. With a warm and friendly voice, 365 short devotional writings on the character and teachings of Jesus encourage readers to greet each day by drawing near to Him and inviting His presence into their day. Spend time with Jesus at the beginning of each day and experience His nearness and peace in a new way throughout the year. Each day’s selection includes: • a Bible verse • an entry based on Jesus: His words, miracles, and parables; His wisdom, compassion, and comfort; His mystery, power, divinity, and humanity • a “faith step” that will inspire and challenge readers to apply the day’s message to their lives.
Invite Jesus into your day.
Tricia Goyer has helped organize the Mornings with Jesus blog tour and had this to say about the project:
Dear Friend,
If there is one thing that has transformed my daily walk it's spending mornings with Jesus. When I was a young Christian I struggled with past mistakes, old longings, and struggled to make it through the day without blowing up at my husband and kids. Then, years ago, I made it a goal to get up early to write. That worked for a while but then I felt guilty. I used the excuse that I didn't have time for God--to read my Bible and pray--yet I was making time to write. I soon changed that and I started putting God first. Through my morning quiet time, God has brought healing to me in those quiet morning hours. I am also strengthened and filled with joy!
Maybe you already have a morning, quiet-time ritual. If so, I hope that Mornings WIth Jesus will be another great resource that you can look to for hope and inspiration. If you don't, my prayer is that this book will encourage you to set aside five minutes to connect with Jesus before you start the day. I was blessed to be able to write this book with many great women. We poured out our hearts and shared our lives, but most importantly, we highlighted how you can deepen your relationship with Jesus as you walk with Him through the pages of God's Word. May you be blessed!
Thankful for Him!
Tricia Goyer
My Review:
Included in Mornings with Jesus are Daily encouragements for your soul. Each day is a refreshing visit with God, and his Word. Then we are treated to insightful reflections by some great authors. At the end of the reading there are Faith Steps!
If you need some encouraging reading, besides your Bible of course, I recommend this being placed close by.
I received this book from the Publisher Guideposts, and was not required to give a positive review.
