Justice Delayed (Memphis Cold Case #1) by Patricia Bradley

It's been eighteen years since TV crime reporter Andi Hollister's sister was murdered. The confessed killer is behind bars, and the execution date is looming. But when a letter surfaces stating that the condemned killer didn't actually do it, Detective Will Kincaide of the Memphis Cold Case Unit will stop at nothing to help Andi get to the bottom of it. After all, this case is personal: the person who confessed to the crime is Will's cousin. They have less than a week to find the real killer before the wrong person is executed. But much can be accomplished in that week--including uncovering police corruption, running for your life, and falling in love.

With the perfect mixture of intrigue and nail-biting suspense, award-winning author Patricia Bradley invites her readers to crack the case--if they can--alongside the best Memphis has to offer.

Honoring God through my writing is top priority for this Mississippi Writer.
I am a Romantic Suspense writer living in the Deep South. My short-stories have been published in Woman’s World, and I am releasing my fourth book this summer. Gone Without a Trace is book three in the Logan Point Series which is set in Memphis and the surrounding area. Click here to find out more about the Logan Point Series.
Book one in the Logan Point Series, Shadows from the Past, has won several awards…the 2008 Maggie (Inspirational Category)…1st Place in the 2012 Touched By Love and Daphne du Maurier contests…finaled in the 2012 Genesis…bronzed in the Frasier.
I’ve also done the unthinkable–written a straight romance–who would’ve thought it’d be such fun? You can read more about it here.
I’m also an abstinence/healthy relationship speaker and have spoken to many students…and adults. I would love to have the opportunity to speak to your group. If you are would like to invite me to speak, feel free to contact me here.
When I’m not writing or speaking, I throw mud on a wheel and try to make something beautiful.

My Review

From the first page forward the author had me page turning, and often with my stomach in my throat, and was ready to jump at any time. Non-stop action, and when you think you know the answers, you might, but I’ll bet not all of them, at least not until the last few pages of the book.
Our girl Andi is one tough cookie, especially when she was born with a heart defect, and unfortunately the surgery for her was paid in blood. She is a fighter, and bullets sure don’t seem to get her down, but she does need some help. There is a bit of romance here, and when the book ended I was wondering about one couple that maybe could end up together, but ah I see there is another book coming.
This one won’t leave you disappointed if you love mystery and suspense, this might be the answer this one seems to have it and more. While we start the book thinking we know the answers right from the beginning, but more leads to more and more, and we are still looking.
I for one cannot wait for the next book in this series, and it cannot come soon enough.
I received this book through Revell Blogger Program, and was not required to give a positive review.
